The Isle of Wight once boasted 54 miles of railway, most of which was closed between 1952 and 1966. Happily, its unique atmosphere has been perfectly preserved by the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, which has often been recognised with awards and commendations. We have three-times been named Independent Railway of the Year, and in 2004 we were honoured with a visit from The Queen. There is a fantastic tea room with an array of tasty delights, and a shop for unique books, gifts, toys and momentoes! Whenever you visit, there is always pleanty to see! Click here to visit our website for more information, we hope to see you soon!
